HistoryThe association form. was established in 1993 by physicians at the August Weihe Institute in Detmold, Germany. Its eight founders had studied in depth various approaches to homeopathy during their training at the Institute when they realised that the method of Argentinian Dr. Alfonso Masi-Elizalde was particularily noteworthy. His revision of the theory of miasms and the materia medica presented a rational concept for the revised understanding of the doctrine of Hahnemann. Masi-Elizalde aimed at eliminating the conceptual chaos of homeopathy. Therefore he develops the original proving symptoms of the materia medica into a plausible "leitmotiv", thus ensuring a deeper understanding of remedies, which should in consequence increase the safety of prescription. The association form. was initially meant to ensure the continuous practice of Masi-Elizalde's method after the founder members had left the August Weihe Institute and returned to practise in their home towns.
form. - a forum for discourse The continuous theoretical and practical studies based on Masi-Elizalde's method led us to fundamental questions and discussions about essential elements in homeopathy, such as the "law of similars, the "peculiar symptom", the "totality of symptoms", the "remedy picture" and the "techniques of hierarchisation". We are convinced that it is more important to work on unresolved issues in homeopathy than to propose ever new and apparently safe prescription strategies. The only way of developing homeopathy remains critical discourse. We understand the apparent chaos of the various homeopathic approaches as symptomatic for the loss of an all-encompassing concept of truth. This realisation does not represent a catastrophe but opens up new possibilities for the efficient and modern art of homeopathic healing. form. represents the only homeopathic association which offers an undogmatic forum for discourse of questions on homeopathy, its various inconsistancies and contradictions. Tiresome referrals to the "organon paragraphs " or recantations of the law of similars cannot distract from present methodical difficulties: Sapere aude ~ Do not duplicate but contemplate! form. offers for this discourse:
